1AH 2020 - 2021

Mrs Haq

Welcome 1AH,

I would just like to say well done for making a fantastic start to the year - myself and Mrs Gill have really enjoyed getting to know you all better over the past few days and I just know that we are going to have a fantastic year together! Parents, I'll pop a few details below but if you have any other questions just catch me afterschool!

Each morning, please enter the school grounds with one adult and wait on the KS1 playground. Each Year 1 class has a separate line and we will come out to collect you at 8:45am. We will check your temperature as you come in, just to keep everybody safe and well - your adult will need to stay until this has been done before you come into the classroom.

  • You only need to bring a packed lunch if you are not on school dinners, please make sure this is named.
  • Everyone must bring a bottle of water each day at the moment to avoid the risk of cross-contamination - I can write their names on if necessary. We are more than happy to fill your bottle up throughout the day and it will go home at the end of the day to be cleaned and refilled for the following day.
  • Your PE day will be Thursday as long as the weather permits - we are asking that you come into school wearing your outdoor kit as we will be outside for these lessons. You will need to wear this kit all day to avoid getting changed in school so please make sure you are warm enough.
  • Please read our knowledge organisers to find out about all the exciting things you will be learning this term.
  • Reading: you must read for at least 10 minutes a day. We will be sending home a reading book every Friday. In addition, please use Reading Eggs and any other books you already have at home. I sent the log ins home on Friday 4th September but it you need it again please just ask.
  • Golden Time is on a Friday afternoon at the moment we are asking that children don't bring in a toy from home. Don't worry, we will still have lots of fun!
  •  Children will be getting fruit during break times.
  •  Please clearly label all your child's uniform and belongings with their name.

Hope this answers any questions!

Mrs Haq :-)
