1SJ 2020 - 2021
Miss Jackson
Welcome 1SJ,
I would just like to congratulate you all on the fantastic start to the year that you have made - I have really enjoyed meeting you all and I know that we are going to have a fantastic year together! Parents, I'll pop a few details below but if you have any other questions just catch me afterschool!
Each morning, please enter the school grounds with one adult and wait on the KS1 playground. Each Year 1 class has a separate line and we will come out to collect you at 8:45am. We will check your temperature on the way in just to keep everybody safe and well - your adult will need to stay until this has been done before you come into the classroom.
- You only need to bring a packed lunch if you are not on school dinners, please make sure this is named.
- Everyone must bring a bottle of water each day at the moment to avoid the risk of cross-contamination - I can write their names on if necessary. We are more than happy to fill your bottle up throughout the day and it will go home at the end of the day to be cleaned and refilled for the following day.
- Your PE day will be Friday as long as the weather permits - we are asking that you come into school wearing your outdoor kit as we will be outside for these lessons. You will need to wear this kit all day to avoid getting changed in school so please make sure you are warm enough.
- Please read our knowledge organisers to find out about all the exciting things you will be learning this term.
- Reading: you must read for at least 10 minutes a day. We will not be sending reading books at the moment, please use reading eggs and any books you already have. I sent the logins home on Friday but it you need it again please just ask.
- Golden Time is on a Friday afternoon at the moment we are asking that children don't bring in a toy from home. Don't worry, we will still have lots of fun!
- Children will be getting fruit during break times.
Hope this answers any questions!
