3NB 2020 - 2021
Just a quick note to remind you that it is our Christmas party on Friday 18th December. As with previous years, if you are able to, please can you send in some party food for the children of 3NB to enjoy? Due to Covid, please can we ask that you provide individually wrapped items – biscuits, cake bars, crisps etc so that each child can have their own selection of food. Please also ensure that all food provided is unopened and if possible, in school by Wednesday 16th December so that we can quarantine it for a few days.
As it is party day and also the last day of term, the children can come to school dressed in their party clothes. Please ensure however that they have sensible footwear on and also a warm coat for break and lunchtimes.
Thank you for your support in helping the children to celebrate the end of their first term in Year 3
Just a quick reminder that it is parents' evening this Wednesday (18th November). Please sign yourself up for a telephone appointment on our class page if you haven't already done so.
I hope that your child is settling into Year 3 well 😊.
Just a reminder that each child has been provided with a school planner and we are actively encouraging this to be used daily as a way of recording when they have read but also as a way of communicating with us. In addition to reading in school, please try to listen to your child read for 10 minutes each night. In support of this, we will have a home reading incentive in place, whereby your child will gain rewards and prizes for every 25, parent recorded, home reading sessions in their planner. Please remind your child to make us aware when they reach this milestone and to also bring their reading book and planner into school each day.
Welcome to 3NB
Hello everyone, I hope you are all ok and ready to start the new school year in Year 3! I am very excited to meet you all on Thursday 3rd September . I know it's going to be a little scary but I can assure you that we have everything in place to ensure that you feel safe and happy. We have lots of exciting new topics to learn about too! Please see our knowledge organisers which give more information about each topic.
Each morning, please enter school grounds with one adult and wait outside the double doors near our classroom, on the Key Stage 2 playground, to be let in at 8.50am. We will check your temperature on the way in just to keep everybody safe and well. Your adult will need to stay until this has been done before you come into the classroom. You only need to bring a packed lunch (if you are not on school dinners) and a bottle of water each day. Please don't bring pencil cases etc. as all equipment will be provided. Please also ensure that you take your water bottle home each day to be cleaned and re-filled.
That's it for now so try not to worry and I will see you on Thursday 3rd September.
Welcome to 3NB
Hello children. I hope you like your transition passport and have found it useful. Sorry that we couldn’t meet in person before the summer holidays but I can’t wait to see you in September! Have a look at the video if you would like to see more of our classroom. Have a lovely summer and stay safe.
