3JE Swimming

3JE will be attending their first swimming lesson on Monday 24th April.

They will be in the middle slot for the first 3 sessions (24th April, 15th May, 22nd May), so will go after lunch but will be back for the normal pick-up time.

The next three sessions (5th, 12th and 19th June) will be in the last slot, meaning the children will be back in school around 3.30 pm (depending on traffic).

The last four sessions (26th June plus 3rd, 10th and 17th July) will be in the first slot so pupils will go for early lunch but be back in time for an afternoon lesson.

This is part of the National Curriculum so all children must participate.

Children must wear their standard uniform to school and bring their swimming outfits to school every Monday.

  • Girls:- One-piece swimming costume (no bikinis)
  • Boys:- A pair of traditional swimming trunks (no loose fitted trunks or shorts)
  • All children must bring a towel and a swimming hat if their hair covers their eyes.
  • No jewellery of any description can be worn in the pool. Earrings, in particular, must be removed (including studs).
  • Goggles are only permitted for medical reasons and parents must provide a medical letter as evidence.
