Uniform
We believe that a school uniform is important:
- We ask that all children wear the uniform and encourage them to maintain a good standard of clean and tidy dress in school.
- The uniform is designed to be practical, maintainable and good value for money.
- Hair accessories such as slides, ribbons bobbles, etc, should be fairly simple and if possible in school colours.
- The Governors have decided that any child who attends school with a `pattern’ cut into their hair will have to have it removed that evening. They can remain in school on the first day, but if they return to school on the second day without having the `pattern’ removed they will have to go in to seclusion until they have had their hair cut. The same applies to excessive use of hair products and hair colour. The definition of an extreme hairstyle is at the discretion of the Headteacher.
- Parents are asked to ensure that all items are labelled clearly with their child’s name.
- The children may only wear single stud earrings and a watch to school. This is for all of the children’s safety and also the security of any jewellery. No other jewellery is acceptable and your child will be asked to remove it. Jewellery including watches and Fit-Bits MUST NOT be worn for P.E or swimming.
- False nails, make up (including lip gloss) or eye lashes are not permitted.
- For health reasons it is important that children are properly dressed for physical activity. PE kit should be kept in a named drawstring bag.
- For health and safety packed lunches should be kept in a clearly named, insulated cool bag.

To use this equipment safely, children cannot wear long trousers or leggings. If for medical or religious reasons shorts cannot be worn the lesson will be modified to meet the needs of the child.

The school jumper is to be worn over the PE kit.
ALL other clothing falls outside of our school uniform policy and is unacceptable for school.

We always have a good selection of pre-loved uniform items available for free instead of buying new.
