Maths
At Newall Green Primary School, we believe that every child has the potential to become a confident and successful mathematician. Our aim is to make Maths meaningful, enjoyable and accessible to all, while nurturing children who are curious, resilient and willing to take on a challenge.
Through engaging learning experiences, children develop a strong understanding of mathematical concepts, learn to reason and problem-solve, and gain the confidence to explain their thinking. We encourage our pupils to make connections, learn from mistakes and recognise that perseverance is an important part of mathematical success.
Most importantly, we want our children to leave Newall Green Primary School with more than just mathematical knowledge. We want them to have the confidence to use Maths in their everyday lives, and the resilience to tackle unfamiliar problems.
