Rights Ranger

When we began our Rights Respecting journey, the School Council wanted to created a symbol of Rights Respecting who could spread the messages of the Convention of the Rights of the Child (CRC) around school.  They designed the bear as a team and then took a trip to Build a Bear and created our Newall Green Rights Ranger.

Each year, the bear takes a trip around the school to visit each class.  The ranger visits each class for one week and takes part in activities with the children based around Rights Respecting.  This could be exploring the article of the week in more depth or looking at another article of their choice in more detail.

Take a look at the map for this year and some of the photographs to show what the Rights Ranger got up to over the last few years on their visits around school.
