6SW Zoo trip

Lesson: Geography

Class: 6MD Year: 2021 - 2022

Wednesday 9th February we went Chester Zoo.

In Geography we have been looking at climate change. One of the major causes attributed to climate change is deforestation.

Due to the frequent use of palm oil, the rainforests are being burnt dwn and replaced with oil palm trees. Palm oil can be found in products all over our house from soap, toothpaste and food. Over this term, the children have been learning the disastrous effects deforestation has on wildlife, the planet and ourselves.

Please see some pictures taken from the zoo.
