Year 6 Leavers Letter

To year 6 parents/carers,

We are so sorry that the last two weeks have not been in school together, but at least they had a wonderful residential and will have a fantastic last day.  We wanted to share with you the plans for the year 6 leaver’s and the dates and times you need to know.

On Friday 16th July, your child will return to school, at the normal time, for their last day at Newall Green.  They need to come to school in their school uniform and need to be wearing a shirt/top they can get signed or they need to bring a shirt/top with them.  All children who are in the production will also need to bring any parts of their costume that aren’t already in school.

In the morning, we will film the year 6 production and leaver’s assembly.  Both of these will be recorded as we cannot have parents or carers due to restrictions.  These will be shared on the school website and via a secure link on youtube as soon as they are ready.

After that, the children will have some time together for lunch and a picnic on the field.  During this time, they will also be allowed to get their shirt/top signed and anyone who has ordered a hoody will receive it at this time too.

Each class will then have a designated slot for a parent/carer to come and collect their child and this will be your opportunity to take a picture of them under the special balloon arch to celebrate their last day.  Due to restrictions, we cannot have more than 30 people at a time, so we kindly ask that parents only come during the time slot given and that only one parent/carer comes for each child.  Your child will then leave with you after having their photograph taken.   If you cannot make the time given, then please let your class teacher know.

The times for each class are:

6SW – 1.30-2

6AC – 2-2.30

6TW – 2.30-3

We have been able to rearrange the Total Ninja trip to Monday 19th July so that the children do not miss out on this.  As it is the school holidays, school will be closed and so we will meet the children at the front gate at 12.15. The children will then be ready to be picked up at 3pm from the front gate.  Please make sure that your child arrives on time as the time slot is very tight and we will need to leave promptly.

If you have any questions then please get in touch either via Microsoft Teams or school directly.

We look forward to seeing you all and celebrating the children’s last day next Friday.

Mrs Campbell and Mrs Ackerley.

We are very social...
