Head's Update 8/3/21 - Welcome Back to School

Monday 8th March 2021

A quick update: It was so lovely to see you all this morning, I know some children were a little worried about returning to school but everyone has been brave and we have 98% attendance today. We will continue to keep your children safe by following the guidelines we have been given by Manchester City Council. Many of our staff use the lateral flow tests to make sure that they are not spreading the virus without realising, others have now been vaccinated. We continue to take temperatures, encourage the children to wash their hands, keep 2m wear possible and we ask teachers and parents to wear face masks at the higher risk times throughout the day.

I have asked the teachers to make sure the children have more breaks outside and to teach outside when possible so that the children are learning in the fresh air.

I will keep you updated with any developments.

Thanks again for all wearing your masks whilst on school grounds, each of us doing our own little bit makes our school community safe and our children are then free to learn and have fun with their friends. It's so lovely to have our corridors and classrooms filled with children's laughter and chatter just as it should be.
