National Year of Reading 2026

We’re delighted to share that our school will be taking part in the National Year of Reading 2026, celebrating the joy and power of books and stories.  The National Year of Reading 2026 is a UK-wide campaign, led by the National Literacy Trust and supported by the Department for Education, to boost reading for pleasure across all ages using the theme "Go All In".

We’ll be kicking off our involvement with Storytelling Week, which we will be celebrating during Children’s Mental Health Week. Throughout the week, pupils will enjoy a range of storytelling activities designed to spark imagination, build a love of reading, and support wellbeing by encouraging children to share, listen, and connect through stories. We look forward to an inspiring start to a year filled with reading, creativity, and positive mental health.  Look out for more information coming soon.
