Get ready for school: Giving up the dummy
Attached are some documents to help support families to enable their child to give up their dummy. As we are sure you are aware children who still have dummies after 12 months are more likely to have difficulties pronouncing words - their speech, it affects the way their teeth grow, can cause ear infections, can increase the amount the child dribbles, can affect the child's swallowing, can transport bacteria which causes infections, and can alter the shape of the child's mouth.
Please find attached some documents with ideas of how to support your child to let go of their dummy. If you would like further support please speak to one of our school SENDCos.
