Exploring direction with Beebots

Lesson: Information and communication technology

Class: Acorn Provision Year: 2024 - 2025

As part of our topic 'Our local area', in Maths, the Acorn RP children have been learning all about direction. We have learnt a movement dance to help us remember directions forwards, backwards, left, right, full turn, half turn and quarter turn. We loved using the Beebots to practice our driections by programming them to get to a chosen landmark on the map. The children have worked really hard to learn all the language, well done!

Our Mission Statement...

We use the five key skills for life; problem solving, teamwork, self-management (initiative, organisation, accountability), self-belief (confidence, resilience, positive attitude), and communication, so we are ‘Aiming High to Reach Our Goals’.
