Year 3 Trip to Deva Roman Discovery Centre in Chester (Tuesday 6th June 2023)

Dear Parents and Carers of 3JE,

As part of our topic in history, the year 3 team have planned a trip to Deva Roman Discovery Centre in Chester.

The trip will take place on Tuesday 6th June 2023.

The cost of the trip is £22, which covers coach travel and entry into the venue. If you have not yet been able to, please make your payment this week. 

The workshop will involve children being provided with battle shields and under the 'strict' instruction of an experienced legionnaire, they will discover what it took to become join one of the greatest fighting forces the world has ever known. The children will also get to form a testudo, visit a Roman amphitheatre, defend the walls and prepare for battle. 

On Tuesday 6th June 2023, we will leave school promptly at 9.15am and we will back in school by 3pm

The children will need a packed lunch in a plastic bag which can be disposed of after lunch (no fizzy drinks or glass bottles) 

Pupils who normally receive free school meals, will have a packed lunch provided by school.
