6HJ 2021 - 2022
Welcome to 6HJ
We have had a great start to the Spring Term and are already enjoying the new topics that we are learning about. We have also started a new class novel called 'Kensuke's Kingdom' by Michael Morpurgo, which the children are really enjoying.
Days for PE, homework and outdoor learning are the same as Autumn term.
PE will be every Thursday and you need to make sure that you are wearing your PE kit and suitable footwear. Please do not wear any football shirts.
On Friday's you need to come to school in clothes that are suitable for outdoor learning. These should be layers and suitable for the weather. Please do not wear clothes that you are not happy to get wet/muddy as we do often go into the woods for our outdoor learning!
In year 6 it is really important that we send homework home that will consolidate your learning. Homework is given out on a Wednesday and needs to return to school the following Monday. Spellings are given out on a Friday and you have until the next Friday to learn those spellings for your test. If you are finding the homework or spellings difficult, then please make sure that you speak to me and ask for help.
It is really important that you read for at least 10 minutes every day. Please keep a record of your reading in your school planner.
