6HJ 2022 - 2023

Miss Jones

Welcome to 6HJ

Welcome back for the Summer Term 6HJ!

In a few weeks you will be completing your KS2 SATS where you will get to showcase all of your hard work from your years in primary school.

SATS week: 9th-12th May

After your SATS, we have many exciting things to look forward to, including the residential (28th-30th June) and the Y6 Production!

We will also spend lots of time preparing you for your transition to high school.

PE

UPDATE: PE will be every MONDAY and you need to make sure that you are wearing your PE kit and suitable footwear. Please do not wear any football shirts.

Outdoor learning

On Wednesday's you need to come to school in clothes that are suitable for outdoor learning.  These should be layers and suitable for the weather.  Please do not wear clothes that you are not happy to get wet/muddy as we do often go into the woods for our outdoor learning!

Homework

In year 6 it is really important that we send homework home that will consolidate your learning.  Homework is given out on a Wednesday and needs to return to school the following Monday.  Spellings are given out on a Friday and you have until the next Friday to learn those spellings for your test.  If you are finding the homework or spellings difficult, then please make sure that you speak to me and ask for help.

Reading

It is really important that you read for at least 10 minutes every day. Please keep a record of your reading in your school planner.
